Photo 9 Feb 15 notes Eyal Lavin in Covert Affairs, played by the charming and handsome Oded Fehr brings a firm person into Annie’s field that she respects.  Though seemingly very rough at first, Eyal is intelligent and resourceful and shares with Annie a kind of wisdom that she sometimes lacks, being a rash and fairly new agent.  He’s also saved Annie’s life a small number of times, including going into a Russian prison to save her under Auggie’s direction.  Though he’s a master of mysteries and can lie like any good spy, he likes to tell the truth.  He’s always one step ahead and brutal when he needs to be, having a low tolerance for bullshit, which is why he so often calls Annie on hers.  But he’s not unkind.  He’ll go out of his way to help someone he truly cares about, even if it costs him dearly.  He learns from his mistakes, watches always and often assumes responsibility for things that are not his to be responsible for, which has almost gotten him killed a couple times in the past.  Ultimately, he’s a friend in the field that Annie truly needs.
